Dinner Discussion Group (re Here goes

Thanks for the quick response. I think there is sufficient interest

to get one going:

 

Here is a format I am thinking about. Send in your

suggestions/changes and we'll derive a charter of sorts.

 

1) Strictly RSVP basis - Small groups of 6 to 8 meet once every month

or fortnightly. Dinner preferably, Lunch or over Beer may work too.

2) The leader/coordinator of the dinner session prepares 4-6 topics

for discussion. The topics should include atleast 2 recent events in

the news. Keep it fun and thought provoking. The topics will be

mailed out a few days in advance.

3) Ideally, the group would be diverse enough to have conflicting

opinions. (Invite cowboys too!)

4) The attendees are mature enough to expect, and respect opinions

that could be highly contradictory to their own beliefs.

5) The discussions will be modeled along one of the moderated neww

talk shows. The moderator will send a short summary of the

discussions to the group.
