Guest guest
Hi all, In the past, we've organized hikes (ranging from 2 to 4 hours) at local parks, like Purissima State Park in Pescadero and Tilden Park in Berkeley, and we've always enjoyed it each time we've done it. We'd like to do more local hikes. Is there any interest in getting a regular hiking group together? My personal interest would be local parks that have good trails with interesting surroundings. I'm a computer potato during the week, so I'm not particularly keen on anything too strenuous on the weekends. I'm partial to redwood forests, or trails that are not exposed or overly sunny. (Hey, that's why I left the East Bay and moved to the coast..) I enjoy morning hikes, too. The morning air has a really nice quality to it. And everything else is better in the morning too -- less traffic, less crowds, easier parking, etc. I find its especially nice to go hiking with other veggie folks because you can have good conversations and enjoy some great scenery at the same time. If you're interested, please write me privately & we'll see if we can get something started! Please include your city location; whether you're available for morning hikes; if you have a car, can you offer a ride; and any other info you want to pass along. Suggestions for great hikes also appreciated! If something like this already exists, do tell :-) This could be training for the upcoming Farm Sanctuary walkathons! :-) Cheers, Tammy Be-A-Veg with SFBAVeg! http://www.generationv.org/.htm * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Perform a death-defying act....
