Guest guest
Bistro Buger has yummy veggie burgers, and the price is decent. Their BBQ and Gilled mushroom burgers are yummy :-). Also, the salad is good. There is Burrito place on Bush (gosh, can not remember the cross street and the name of the place), where you could sit outside to enjoy the sun. They have a few veggi burritos. I like their spinach grill vegetables burrito. Long Life noodle is a nice place for lunch gathering. They have many veggie noodles. --- pramod sanoor <psanoor wrote: > > Hey all, > > There is a fairly good group forming here ( about 6 > people have responded) > for a lunch next week in or around the financial > district. Guest guest
I work downtown and would really like to meet other veg*ns for lunch. I had been eating at Long Life Noodle House for a good long while, but this week found a sizable piece of chicken meat in my " Stir Crazy " (which is explicitly billed on the menu as vegetarian), so I'm boycotting them for the time being. I have recently had similar experiences at Cafe Tomo and Cafe Metropol. Anyplace else downtown besides these places is ok with me...preferrably, a place that honestly values veg*an patrons. -- On Thu, 25 Jul 2002 22:55:21 Oceanveggiegirl wrote: >Bistro Buger has yummy veggie burgers, and the price >is decent. Guest guest
Hi all, Matt, your experiences at finding chunks of meat in your veg*n entrees at Long LIfe Noodle House, Cafe Tomo, & Cafe Metropol are very disappointing to hear. I'm presuming that you spoke to the restaurant about finding pieces of animal flesh in your supposedly vegetarian dish. What was the reaction of the restaurant? Were they apologetic or indifferent? Their attitude towards this mistake is important, I think. (And that is the great thing about having a veggie network, we find out which non-veggie restaurants are really veggie-friendly or not.) That is one of the main reasons that I like supporting veg*n restaurants. Unfortunately there's none in the downtown/financial SF area. (Hmm, Mickey... maybe an opportunity? Oh, I know! One of those travelling food trucks!! Yeah, a travelling vegan food truck!) Cheers, Tammy
