Hello all!

So great with all these intros., it's infectious I suppose!! So

here's my 2 bits....

I am Mickey, short for Michelle, D. Walker. I'm 22, 23 in about...

22 days! Yeah!! I've been vegetarian since my freshman year in

highschool, about 9 years, and vegan the last approx. 2 years. I

think veganism finally kicked in after crying my eyes out looking at

the farm sanctuary's website, so terrible and sad. I attended the

Natural Gourmet Cookery School in NYC in 2000, to complete their Chef

Training Program, and I've been a bold and brave Vegan chef since

then. I love to cook, it's definately my passion and life's calling.

I am currently living in, and was raised, in Wisconsin. Let me tell

you, it's not exactly a thriving vegan community, YIKES!! So, in

persueing my goals, dreams, and aspirations, I'm looking to move to

San Fran and open a green vegan cafe and bakery. (feedback on that

QUITE welcome!!) Which, people on this post tell me, would probably

do quite well. Still working on the location...I'm yearning to be in

a community that is condusive and friendly to my morals and where I

can also let my creativity come alive and be surrounded by people who

love to partake in it, so I'm hoping that SF will be a good place to

try. I just came back to WI after not living here for 2 years, and I

honestly can't wait to get out! I do love being with my family and

animal friends here on our humble little farm, that's what keeps me

coming back. :-) I was raised with a veg. mom who rehabilitated

abandoned/injured animals and a carnivore dad, but I guess my mom was

more reflected on me :-) I hope to be able to attend some SFBAVEG

gatherins' when I get there, maybe meet some of you!

So that's me in a little nutshell! Rock on my friends and have a
