Let's try to get together for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants and share some good vegan food & more camraderie. Where: Golden Era on O'Farrell near Leavenworth URL: http://www.goldeneravegetarian.com/ When: Friday, Aug 2nd at 6 p.m. Cost: About $10-$15 depending on appetizers, entrees, desserts ordered RSVP deadline: Thursday, Aug 1st, 8 pm RSVP to: govegan Transit: Golden Era is a 10-minute walk from BART's Powell Street Station and even closer as the Muni bus line (I *think* it is Geary #38) crosses Leavenworth. Transit URL: http://www.generationv.org/transit.htm We like walking around the city, so if anyone is interested in meeting up for a walk before dinner (circa 5 p.m.), let us know. And, after dinner, everyone is welcome to the Marina to join the Video Vegan Brigade. To quote Alka, " Vegan Video Brigade -- an undertaking of the Food & Social Justice Project -- takes to the streets of San Francisco, screening Meet Your Meat and other fine videos. We pass out brochures that trumpet the health, environmental, and animal protection benefits of a vegan diet, and engage passersby in constructive dialogue. And, we have fun. " (Alka will be providing final details later.) If you'd like to join us, please RSVP to me privately by Thursday 9 p.m. so we can get an appropriate sized table. There's no set meal plan, just order off the menu. You are welcome to bring friends/guests, just let us know. Depending on group consensus, we can do it family style and share food a bunch of different dishes. I will confirm all RSVPs privately, so if you don't hear from me, please write again.
