Guest guest
** Please forward far & wide! ** Dear friend, In Defense of Animals and the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department recently joined forces in an unprecedented effort to eliminate the trapping and killing of gophers along Great Highway in San Francisco. For three months, dedicated volunteers have been working to turn the landscape into a " gopher sanctuary, " but now the lives of these creatures are once again in danger! The Parks Department has asked us to increase our volunteer base in order to expand the project to more areas. Your help is critically needed in order to prevent the killings from starting again! We urgently need you to join us to help renovate the landscape in order to eliminate the city's need to kill these gentle creatures. Please don't miss this fun and critically important opportunity to prevent the trapping, poisoning and killing of hundreds of animals! We meet the first Saturday of each month, 9am - 12pm at Great Highway & Wawona St. to do a variety of landscaping tasks, including weeding and planting gopher-friendly plants. The date of our next project is Saturday, August 3rd at 9am 12pm at Great Hwy. and Wawona St. RSVP to Dana at 415-388-9641 x22 or email dana if you can attend.
