when the next visit will be), we're

off to Glide Memorial Church.

other you've been to. This is a

multi-cultural, multi-denominational,

multi-everything church

service. There's singing, there's

praying, there's hugging, there's

sweating. Jewish? Muslim? Buddhist?

Christian? Catholic? Everyone's

welcome at Glide. Tourists from around

the world come to Glide as one of

the hottest tourist spots. I go for

the soul connection. Come see

what the fun's all about.

Methodist Church

Location: 330 Ellis Street, San

Sunday, August 4th, 2002

Time: 11:00 am - 12:15 pm

We'll meet at the front entrance at

10:00 am (this is on the Ellis not

Taylor Street Entrance). If you're

meeting us and don't know what I look

like, send me your e-mail and I'll

send a current photo.

 

Note: Dress comfortably and wear

comfortable shoes for walk and for Glide

as it can get a bit warm in church.

 

Parking Your Car/Motorcycle

There is limited street parking. The

area is a bit " uncomfortable " but I've

found it quite safe. Just make sure to

lock your doors.

 

Carpooling Information

For those of us on the Peninsula (or

San Jose), we'll meet at carpool point

#6 (Pagemill & Highway 280) at 9:03 AM

and leave by 9:13 am.

 

For those taking BART, take the Powell

Street Exit and walk 4 blocks to the

church.

As we will have a large number of

people here, I'm pre-ordering the meal

and we'll have a set price (drinks

will be extra). I'm assuming it will be

around $12. The restaurant only serves

vegetarian cuisine. Many of the

dishes are made with " mock meat " which

look like beef, salmon and chicken,

but are made with tofu. No one has

ever been disappointed with the food

here. To make it easier for collecting

$$ for the lunch, please bring a $5

bills and (5) $1s if possible.
