Guest guest
Hi! I don't know if this will be off the subject or not... I used to, growing up, LOVE, and I mean, LOVE chocolate milk. Then I stopped drinking milk altogether about 3 years ago and haven't had straight up choc. cow milk since then. Then the other day, I thought Hmmm, maybe I'll try some alternative chocolate milk for the fun of it. First I tried a Soy Dream chocolate milk, sorry I even tried, it was so awful and total epitomy of swilly SOY taste that transitioners dread!- needless to say, much to be desired... THEN, then I tried ALMOND BREEZE Almond Chocolate nutmilk, HOLD THE SHOW! I nearly chugged the whole carton! YUMMY with a capitol Y! I highly recommend that if you're beggin for some chocolate " milk " . I like to make my own almond milk, which makes for fabulous tasting " ice creams " too, if anyone wants a recipe to try, just ask. I'd have to dig it out of my folder. Happy trails y'all!! Guest guest
Almond Breeze contains carageenan, making it a no-no in my book Avoid guar gum, carageenan, and large amounts of pectin. In cecal contents of conventional rats, both guar gum and pectin led to the appearance of cadaverine and to elevated putrescine concentrations in comparison with the fiber-free control diet The cecal cadaverine concentration was higher in pectin- than in guar-fed These experiments demonstrated the ability of bacteroides, fusobacteria and anaerobic cocci to synthesize high amounts of putrescine and spermidine. Calculations based on these results suggest that the intestinal microflora are a major source of polyamines in the contents of the large intestine.
