I am sure you mean well but I and many on this list are not going there...

Is the air, water, or soil any cleaner..

Are people smarter or happier?

because of animal testing.. I feel not

I think most here feel this is off topic... As I did your first email and

would best not be posted to the list.

The list is related too preventing the exploitation of animals..

and implicitly that excludes discussion of the results of animal testing

etc.

If any nutritional data need be shared it would be from tests on humans

and then it might only be on topic if it were specific to vegetarians.

and only if put into very lay terms..

Hi Jay,

This seems to narrowly define what is considered on topic. I may not agree

with Ryan either, but I welcome the opportunity to read what he or anybody

else posts, even if it is in support of something that I¹m opposed to (or

vice-versa). I believe that the subject of animal testing is ON TOPIC for

this group, whether the message is in favor of it or not. If a message

contains the results of animal testing, does this encourage the exploitation

of animals? I don¹t believe so. However, it does provide us with information

that can be useful in preventing it or educating others about it. You seem

to imply that only anti animal testing messages are on topic, and I believe

that you deny yourself and others a valuable opportunity.

I find that I learn much more by hearing opposing views on an issue instead

of just one side. If someone posts a message that that I disagree with, I

can either ignore it or respond to it, and maybe open up a dialog that will

be informative to all of us as well as give us an opportunity to get to know

who that person is and where they¹re coming from.
