Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have a few questions for you all: 1) Do any of you not like some vegetables? I, for one, cannot stand olives. Is it worth it to try and like the vegetables we don't like, or just accept our tastes and find alternatives? 2) What are some good vegan breads? Why is it that most people (including myself) commonly believe(d) that bread was always made with milk and eggs? 3) Are there yummy vegan chocolate bars out there? Periodically I get this craving for either chocolate itself, or chocolate cake/brownies, etc. Just wanting to know if there are vegan options out there! Also, I heard one time that if you crave sugar a lot, it means something in particular is lacking in your diet, but I can't remember what it is. Do any of you know? I've had a sweet-tooth my whole life, though, so maybe it's just that! I think that's it for now. Thanks, everyone! ~Meghan

Getting better about mushrooms. Still trying to not hate beets. Radishes make me queasy. Pickles may never " do it " for me... I don't think anyone out there loves every vegetable and/or fruit. My personal plan is to try the ones I don't like every now and again, and see if my tastes change over time or if I can find better ways to present them than how I've had them before - like mushrooms, I never liked but now I'm starting to like them in certain dishes. I may never chow down to a big bowl of them, but I don't pick them out of things like I do radishes. And there's enough variety in my diet that I'm not missing out, nutritionally. > 2) What are some good vegan breads? The stuff in the grocery store in plastic bags is full of weird stuff (except for the Alvarado breads, they're pretty good, but some contain honey). > 3) Are there yummy vegan chocolate bars out there? My trick: find a bag of Ghirardelli Double-Chocolate Chocolate Chips, and pop a handful when the cravings come. > Also, I heard one time that if you crave sugar a lot, it means > something in particular is lacking in your diet, but I can't remember > what it is. Everything in moderation, and enjoy it to the fullest IMHO. :-) -Kim ---------------------- Kim Flournoy Websites That Work kim
Guest guest
Dagoba makes some wonderful dairy-free dark chocolate bars. You can find them at Rainbow foods. I think they're organic, too.
