Guest guest
Everyone talking about chocolate bars (Terrys chocolate is vegan, although maybe you can only get it in Europe, but Pier 39 has some European chocolate in the chocolate shop, if not, ask them to make vegan chocolate). Anyway what about various tablets. I had to take a course of tablets that contained gelatine, most tablets do contain animal products as binders. There is just so many things out there that we cant be sure off what we eating or using. Like toothpaste, shampoo, hair, make up products, any house hold cleaning products!!!! So I just stick to what goes in my mouth and try to make sure its vegan. I also noticed while living in California that not many produce had Suitable for Vegans/Veggies on it, whereas in Ireland and UK, all food has it and any food that wasnt suitable before has now been changed. " Here in the USA, folks can usually find vegan-friendly products like shampoos, toothpastes, household cleaners,make-up, and hair care products in natural food stores. They are marked with PETA or CCIC approval certification. I've been using them for 15 years now and they work just fine. Unfortunately, they are more expensive than non-vegan products, at least partly because the market for them is fairly small - so far. - Irish Veggie Thursday, August 08, 2002 9:39 AM [sFBAVeg] Vegan Tablets, Food, Toothpaste, etc Everyone talking about chocolate bars (Terrys chocolate is vegan, although maybe you can only get it in Europe, but Pier 39 has some European chocolate in the chocolate shop, if not, ask them to make vegan chocolate).
