After hearing about celiac disease on recent posts I was surprised to

come across it at a spice info site. I don't know about

it 'correcting' the disease but I thought a few of you may be

interested. Sorry if this is too off topic.

Powdered Cardamom sprinkled on cooked cereals and used in whole grain

bread is useful in treating celiac disease (an intolerance for the

gluten in grain commonly occurring in children, marked by frequent

diarrhea and digestive problems).

Remedy for Celiac Disease: Chinese use powdered cardamom sprinkled on

cooked cereal to correct celiac disease (intolerance for the gluten

commonly occurring in children, marked by frequent diarrhea and

continual digestive problems.)

I don't know where you read that, but it might be comparing soy protein to

meat protein.

Does your doctor think you're lacking sulphur? MSM is a vegan source of

sulphur.

Legumes, soyfoods, nuts, and protein powder shakes. Of course, there's also

wheat gluten, but that's out for you.

I just checked Medline and there were no studies published on this. It goes

back about 25 years.
