Word Processing Trainer (volunteer) Wanted for SF Veg Society

Project #1

 

Can you devote a few hours to train Dixie Mahy, she's a President of SFVS to do

simply word processing on her 4 year old MAC (sorry not sure which brand, it

doesn't really matter).

 

Even if you're a PC person, it won't be hard to teach her the basic skills of

typing a basic file and saving it on a MAC floppy. The floppy should be able

shared with a PC computer. (ASCII format)

 

Dixie is a super sweet person with excellent (PERFECT) typing skills. She lives

in SF.

 

If possible, also a on going basis, phone support for simple, short questions.

I am willing to be a backup support person.

 

This project is important for production of future vegetarian newsletters and

communications among INTERNATIONAL vegetarian communities.

Some good news, I heard that volunteers can tax write off their volunteer time.

Project #2

 

In a few months after Dixie knows how to use SIMPLE word processing, we need

someone to get and setup a FREE Mac email account (netzero?) and train Dixie to

use email. This might only take a hour.

 

No need to train on internet usage, just email.

No joke, when mad cow or other health problem arises (diabetes,etc), we have to
