Guest guest
Hulu (means Gourd in Mandarin) House Vegetarian Restaurant 754 Kirkham St/12th Ave SF From SF downtown is a 35 min ride on the N Judah. Bus #44, #66 (#66 is too slow from downtown) is near by. The restaurant uses new pots and pans that NEVER touched meat to prepare Singapore, Malaysian, and Chinese dishes. So far all the workers are Buddhist vegetarians who will serve you lunch dishes that are under $4.50 and dinner dishes are all under $6.50. I had their marinated tofu, and fried egg roll. They both were good. If you don't mind, the egg roll's dipping sauce had red food coloring in it. Their speciality is their Laksa soup that is a spicy and sour Singapore/Malaysian entree. That is one dish they recommend. Join us for dinner on Friday Sept 6 at 7pm for $11 includes tax, tip and drinks, 10 course dinner. With NO RSVP is $20. Laksa *,Singapore/Malaysian noodle soup Nasi Lemak, Malaysian coconut rice Curry Rice, Singapore style Hai Nan Rice, Lemon grass Samonsa *, fried Indian appetizer appetizer platter: Fried Bean Cured " goose " Hulu's Tofu, marinated 5 spice tofu BBQ " pork " from Malaysia stir fry mixed veg (with special brown sauce) Mixed Veg Fried Rice Chinese style * mild spicy drinks: ice tea and water They serve white rice but I'll TRY to get brown rice instead. RSVP after my 8/23 Vietnamese dinner at VegeHouse in Berkeley. Reservation deadline for Hulu, Fri 9/6 1pm. please contact me if you need to cancel or might be late for dinner. Also 1 minute introduction on what you eat is important to the environment. co list with Sierra Club and Craigslist singles and non singles welcome, usually, 90% of the participants are single 100% of the money goes to the restaurant.
