I'd like to give a big THANK YOU to our vegan dynamic duo and extraordinare

Compassionate Chefs, Alka & Colleen, for organizing the most scrumptious Tea

Party! It was my fantasty food event come true -- a plethora of vegan

sweets & delights so overwhelming that I couldn't figure out which end of

the table to start at. And it wasn't just one table full of food, I think

there were 4 or 5 tables full!

 

For those of you that couldn't make it, it wasn't just the food tables that

were full. The hall was packed -- standing room only at the back. I also

appreciated the educational (and at times entertaining) presentation by Dr.

Greger http://veganmd.org/ . I came away with both food for thought and

food in my tummy :-D

 

It is always nice to meet up with other SFBAVeg'ers. I'm looking forward to

seeing you this Saturday at the picnic or in a few Saturdays from now at the

Oakland walkathon that Colleen is organizing. By the way, I do have a

couple of extra walkathon registration packets if anyone needs one; I'll

bring them to the picnic.

I'll tell you how good the food was: I gained three pounds in less than three

hours And it was worth it! Thanks Colleen and Alka. I'll send you the Weight

Watchers bill.
