Hi Syndee,

I hope you're doing well.

I don't want to be presumptuous or anything, but if you're referring to the

" Curry in a Hurry " cooking class that Colleen Patrick & I are offering on

September 15th, the class (part of a monthly series) is being held at the First

Unitarian Church of Oakland at 685 14th Street in downtown Oakland

(the location is BART accessible, 5 blocks from the 12th Street BART station).

If people would like more information, they can call (510) 914-7131.

Thanks so much, Syndee, for forwarding this information to our Marin friends!

Best,

Alka

Can you please tell me where the cooking class is? I'd like to put it into the

EarthSave Marin newsletter.

Thanks, Syndee

Hi everyone,

Time to sign up for September's Class, when the Compassionate Cooks will be

cooking up a storm using Coriander, Cumin, Cardamom & Coconut.

The class is on Sunday September 15th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The topic is Hurry

in a Curry: Thai and Indian Flavors, and on the menu is

*Vegetable Thai Curry - Red, Green & Yellow!

*Gado Gado (Indonesian veggie delight with tangy peanut sauce)

*Aloo Gobi (Cauliflower & Potato Curry)

*Chana Masala (Curried Chickpeas)

*Burmese Ginger Salad

*Chocolate Covered Fruit

$20 for the class. You may sign up by contacting me directly at 510-914-7135 or

at colleen. Or you may simply write a check for $20, make it out to

the First Unitarian Church of Oakland, and put 'cooking class' in the memo

field. Mail it to Colleen A. Patrick 230 Santa Rosa Ave. #3

Oakland, CA 94610. Thanks!

Here are some responses from August's class:

- " This class was great -- not only informative but highly entertaining! Visual

and experiential. Will entice me to cook more and return for future classes! "

- " I appreciate the handouts, your humor, and your generosity! Definitely worth

the $20. I look forward to doing another "

- " What a great way to spend a Saturday morning -- eating yummy breakfast foods.

Thank you! "

- " Very entertaining and friendly class! "

- " I appreciated the opportunity to watch the entire process and hear detailed

info on various ingredients that I was unfamiliar with! "

For the animals,

Colleen Patrick
