Guest guest
Spend this Saturday morning saving animals from cruel traps by participating in In Defense of Animals¹ Wildlife Protection Project to create a wildlife ³sanctuary² along San Francisco¹s Great Highway! In Defense of Animals volunteers and the SF Recreation & Parks Department are working together to renovate the landscape along the Great Highway at Wawona St. on the first Saturday of every month, and we need your help! This month we need volunteers to spread mulch and begin the process of introducing native shrubbery to the areas we¹ve already prepared. Don¹t miss this important opportunity to protect our native creatures while enjoying the outdoors, meeting new people and snacking on free vegan goodies this Saturday morning! Feel free to bring anyone you think might be interested. Please give me a call to confirm that you can make it; I can be reached at 415-388-9641 x 19, or by email at carla. See you there! Carla Brauer Program Coordinator In Defense of Animals 131 Camino Alto, Suite E Mill Valley, CA 94941 Tel. 415-388-9641 x19 --- It is the policy of In Defense of Animals to no longer use language that accepts the current concept of animals as property, commodities and/or things. Rather than refer to ourselves or others as " owners " of animals we share our lives with, we now refer to ourselves and others as " guardians " of our animal friends and to animals as " he " or " she " rather than " it. " Guardians do not buy or sell animals; instead they rescue and adopt. We urge you to do the same.
