POTLUCK MEETING AND PROGRAM:?VEGETARIAN UPDATE?

Socializing begins at 6:30 p.m., dining at 7:00 p.m.,

Program 8:00 p.m.

Location: Fort Mason Center, Building C, Room 370, San

Francisco (Wheel chair accessible)

Auto entrance on Laguna & Buchanan Streets

Public Transit: MUNI Bus #22, 28, 30, 47, 49, 82X BART

exit at Civic Center and walk to Van Ness for bus

connections north

 

Suggested donation to help defray rental expenses: $1

for members & students bringing food (enough for 8 to

10 people); $3 for non-members bringing food. Add $7

for anyone not bringing food.

The door donation (not the food donation) will be

waived for volunteers who arrive an hour before the

meeting to

This month?s speaker is Alka Chandna, life vegetarian

and animal rights advocate extraordinaire. She is

presently the

director of the Food & Social Justice Project. Alka

will bring us up to date on the recent successful

vegetarian campaigns as well as future projects. She

Sign-ups to volunteer for the upcoming World

Vegetarian Celebration in October will take place at

the conclusion of the meeting.
