Guest guest
Dear Friends, To avoid offending any reading parties by making reference to jocks, yuppies, or people from Amarillo, Texas (I really thought Amarillo was safe, given that the Oprah trial was staged there), I'll keep this really simple. What? The Vegan Video Brigade! Our video & pamphleteering excursions into SF neighborhoods, screening PeTA's " Meet Your Meat " for the fine pedestrians of SF, while distributing literature and engaging passersby in constructive discussions about food choices. Who? You and all of your wonderful veggie friends! Why? Because it's a positive, fun, lively, powerful way to make a difference. When? Friday, September 13th, 7 pm - 9 pm. Where? The Mission, at the corner of 16th & Valencia - I think there's a bank on one of the corners where we can set up. More incentive? Since we'll be in the Mission, going over to Herbivore for some vegan chocolate cake after our leafleting excursion seems to me to be a moral imperative. Hope you can make it!! Cheers, Alka
Guest guest
Texas is still not a safe haven for herbivores. If the state doesn't lynch you, the red necks will. By Texas law you can not warn people about the dangers of eating dead animal body parts and bodily fluids. William The Scot News - Today's headlines http://news. Guest guest
William, I haven't seen the actual wording of the law, but my understanding is that you are not allowed to make claims *you know to be false* about a perishable food. So, if something is easily shown to be true, you should be okay.
