Guest guest
they are now giving 10% to vegdining.com members Unfortunately they recently added meat dishes to their menu to stay afloat. The good new is, they still have more vegetarian dishes than meat dishes. If a friend insist in going to a meat restaurant, you can tell them about this restaurant and maybe your friend will decide to choose a veg entree when ordering. The entrees are HUGE. I told Jouberts to reduce the size so the price can decrease to small eaters (like women customers) Five years ago, I tried 4 of their desserts with friends, I thought, all the desserts were way way too sweet! Desserts are around $5. I read somewhere that their Africa wine had okay reviews. A friend of mine drank the entire bottle by himself during dinner. He said it was ok too. New Menu at www.jouberts.com The owners (3 men) eat vegetarian meals 5 days a week. New DSL Internet Access from SBC & http://sbc.
Guest guest
What a shame that Joubert's has added meat! Don't they realize that the three most important factors in a restaurant's success are LOCATION LOCATION and LOCATION? And being way out there at the West end of San Francisco puts them in a financially precarious situation from the outset. Instead of adding meat " to say afloat, " they should consider moving to a more central location. >sunny outdoors <sunny_outdoors > >[sFBAVeg] update on Jouberts in SF >Wed, 18 Sep 2002 23:22:16 -0700 (PDT) >MIME-Version: 1.0 >Received: from [66.218.66.71] by hotmail.com (3.2) with ESMTP id >MHotMailBF52E4DF0023400431C842DA4247533C101; Thu, 19 Sep 2002 02:36:36 >-0700 >Received: from [66.218.66.97] by n16.grp.scd. with NNFMP; 19 Sep >2002 06:22:19 -0000 >Received: (EGP: mail-8_1_1_3); 19 Sep 2002 06:22:18 -0000 >Received: (qmail 45072 invoked from network); 19 Sep 2002 06:22:17 -0000 >Received: from unknown (66.218.66.217) by m14.grp.scd. with QMQP; >19 Sep 2002 06:22:17 -0000 >Received: from unknown (HELO web20208.mail.) Guest guest
yeah, terrible location. I always assumed that the owners lived around the corner or something. I like that place but rarely make the trek... It's a genuine swords to ploughshare story though. Before Jouberts, it used to be a gun shop. ra
