1) Viva!USA is looking for some reliable, vegan high school students around

the country to help with a project involving vegetarian advertisements in

high school

newspapers.

 

What we are looking for:

a.. Vegan activist in high school

b.. The high school should have a large student body

c.. There must be a school paper

d.. We only need one representative from each school

The project won't take much time, but could really make a difference.

2) From the Vegetarian Resource Group

 

Due to the generosity of an anonymous donor, The Vegetarian Resource Group

each year will award $10,000 in college scholarship money to graduating

U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools

and/or communities. Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or fowl. Two awards

of $5,000 each will be given. The first awards will be given for the school

year beginning in September 2003. Applications may only be sent by students

graduating high school in spring 2003. Deadline is February 20, 2003.
