Guest guest Posted September 25, 2002 Report Share Posted September 25, 2002 Since you're adamant that you weren't trying on your mouse or tuna costume & getting it ready for Halloween, I think the only valid suggestion right now is that Bootsie go in to the vet for a full physiological exam. Based on the circumstances, that would certainly include a psychological evaluation. Your Bootsie might be going delusional, or the attack could have been triggered by something else, for example an acute dislike for the smell given off by a new perfume, laundry detergent used on your clothes, etc. Most shelters would probably kill the cat if you took it in to them, as they can't risk it attacking anyone in a new home. Most " No Kill " shelters either only accept animals they know they can place, or do kill under certain conditions, so another option to explore is one of those cat sanctuary places.
