Organic Tibetan Lunch

Bring environmentalism to your table! In this unique

lunch, prepare vegetables and fruit that are not

generally available in the mass market and help

promote biological diversity, which is essential for

healthy farms and healthy bodies. First we'll prepare

and enjoy a scrumptious organic Tibetan meal, then

we'll discuss the impact of the meal on the

environment. By making this connection, we can see how

each choice and purchase casts a vote on the future of

sustainability.

Sunday, October 6; 12 noon to 3 p.m.

Fee: $20 per person; use this registration form

Cosponsored by Thimmakkas

Health for the Farm, Health for the Family: Food from

India

connect with other cultures. This South Asian Indian

as good for you as it is for the planet. Sustainable

agriculture makes sense; after eating we'll play a

series of fun, interactive games that explain why this

is so.
