Guest guest
I refused to do dissections in my high school biology class in 1984. I had already been a vegetarian for 2 years at that point. I insisted that I could read about it and look at the photos in a book. The teacher had threatened to fail anyone who did not participate, but because I was an otherwise straight A+ student, he couldn't very well flunk me. I spent that day at the back of the room, facing away from the rest of the class, staring at the dissection photos in a textbook, avoiding having to look at the horrors going on behind me. I still got an A.
