Guest guest
Hi everybody, On October 24th, about 9,000 K-8 children are scheduled to be bussed to the Cow Palace for a performance of the Grand National Rodeo. This provides the rodeo an opportunity to market animal cruelty to children. The event is a possible violation of state humane codes that prohibit schoolchildren from viewing an event in which an animal may be injured. For this reason, Bay Area animal rights groups and attorneys will file an injunction to stop this egregious misuse of school time and taxpayer money. If a parent of a child who would be affected by the rodeo could join the injunction, the effort would be much more effective (the child need not be involved in the injunction). The attorney needs to file the injunction this week, so we need someone as soon as possible. If you or someone you know has a child in the San Francisco public school system and might be sympathetic to the cause, please let me know right away. Thank you!
