Guest guest
Message Sylvia Romero Monday, October 07, 2002 9:42 AM FW: Email to activist network Hello, this is William from PETA. Earlier this year, PETA announced the " Sí Se Puede " Award named in honor of vegetarian César Chávez, a man whom the late Sen. Robert Kennedy called " one of the heroic figures of our time. " The " Sí, Se Puede " Award comes with a $1,000 cash prize for the person who does the most to promote kindness to animals and/or vegetarianism in the Hispanic community. Please visit PETA.org or PETAenEspanol.com to learn more about César Chávez and to nominate an Hispanic activist who has worked tirelessly to further the cause of animal rights. Nominations (including self-nominations) must be submitted by December 31, 2002. I am also writing to ask you if you would help us in spreading the word about the Sí Se Puede award. I am looking for activists who are willing to drop off " Sí Se Puede " Award flyers in predominantly Hispanic areas, such as restaurants, parks, stores or community centers. If you are interested, please email me at WilliamR or call me at 757-622-7382, ext: 1612 and I will send you as many flyers as you think you can put up or hand out. Thank you for all you do for the animals! William Rivas-Rivas Campaign Coordinator WilliamR (757)622-7382 ext 1612
