This is among the most cruel of tortures we inflict on animals and amounts, in my mind, to oral rape. A pipe forced down the throat of an animal several times a day to impact excessive amounts of food into her body/liver to produce a diseased liver product called " foie gras " is hideous barbarism. Choice? There is never a " choice " to subject another being to torture and pain for our selfish pleasure - in this case a diseased liver product, foie gras.
