Guest guest
PAW PAC RECEPTION - 22 years working for animals in legislative issues is HARD HARD work because we CANNOT offer the legislators (and Gov. Davis!) suitcases full of money for critical animal legislation. Wednesday, Oct 23 - 6 to 8 P.M. WHERE: The Phoenix Lofts, 737 2nd Street #403 (6 blocks west of Broadway) Oakland SENATOR DON PERATA AND ASSEMBLYWOMAN WILMA CHAN will speak briefly around 7P.M. Copies of PAWPAC 2002 VOTING CHART and ENDORSEMENTS for 2002 election available Light vegan refreshments - Donations appreciated - RSVP/info 510 652-5603 California does NOT have: greyhound racing horses trucked to slaughter to other states dyed easter chickens horse tripping vivisection in public schools BECAUSE: This and much more legislation was passed because PAW PAC and other animal people went to each legislator's office and pleaded with them to support the above legislation - some took many, many YEARS. Let's support PAWPAC's critical work and show Senator Perata and Assembly member Chan that there is support for animal issues. It would be very sad (and telling) if they came to speak to only 5 people! Bring your body and a small contribution. RSVP/info - Eric Mills at 510/652-5603 Thank you.
