Hello everyone,

I hope you can all make it to the potluck this Sunday. It should be very

enlightening, always delicious and filled with many friends and

acquaintances.

POTLUCK AND VIDEO/LECTURE:

5:30 Mingling

6:15 Dining

7:15 Lecture

Please join us on Sunday, Oct. 27th when Michael Newman visits us from

the Center for a New American Dream. He will be showing a video and

facilitating a disucssion afterwards.

The video, More Fun, Less Stuff: The Challenges and Rewards of a New

American Dream is an entertaining, informative look at the hidden costs

of the " more is better " definition of the American dream. Hosted by

actor Danny Glover, this thirty-minute film features inspiring profiles

of individuals, companies and organizations that are changing the way

they consume to improve quality of life, protect the environment and

promote social justice.

We will also talk about the new partnership between the Center for a New

American Dream and EarthSave International on the " Turn the Tide "

program, nine simple actions that individuals can take to reduce their

ecological footprint. For more information about the Center for a New

American Dream, you can visit ww.newdream.org.
