Tammy suggested that I post the most recent Vegan Spam to the list to see if

anyone would like to donate to producing the next Why Vegan? Tammy pointed

out " Theoretically, if every member [of SFBAVeg] gave $5, that would almost

be $3K. " That would be a huge help to our efforts!

Fundraising Campaign for the New and Improved Why Vegan

 

Vegan Outreach has been sending out Why Vegan? brochures at a sizzling

pace -- nearly 450,000 in 2002 already! Even though we recently printed

50,000 copies, we have fewer than 5,000 left. This means we will run out

very soon!

 

In the meantime, our graphic designer, Lauren Panos, is almost finished with

the next, new and improved version! Download a sneak-preview! of the new

We've done everything we can imagine -- including consulting with the

marketing company Near Bridge, Inc. -- to make this new Why Vegan? the most

powerful and reader-friendly version ever!

 

Vegan Outreach normally prints Why Vegan? in batches of 100,000, but with

activists distributing copies at an ever-increasing pace, this amount does

not last long. Quotes from the printer for the next version are $9,900 for

100,000 copies; $24,000 for 300,000 copies.

 

If we only print 100,000 at a time, it will cost us a total of $29,700 for

300,000 brochures. Thus, by doing one batch of 300,000 we can save $5,700!!

 

However, we need your help to raise $13,000 in order to meet our goal of

$24,000. The sooner we reach this target, the sooner we'll be able to

provide copies of the new Why Vegan to the many activists who are eager to

distribute them.

 

If just 130 members of Vegan Outreach donate $100 right away, we will have

the new Why Vegan in people's hands in only a few weeks.
