Guest guest
Great news everyone! You'll recall a few weeks ago I posted a call for participation in a committee to study the feasibility and come up with the parameters for urban veg*an cooking consortia. We've basically decided to create two groups for now, one in SF and one in Berkeley. The groups will initially be 4-7 people, with each person taking turns cooking for the whole group and meeting once per week at the host's home. Friday or Sunday seemed to be the best night. One must emphasize these are just the initial parameters, of course any group can have different policy but that was the consensus as a good way to start. Now, the time has come to actually form the first groups. If you'd like to sign up for the SF group, let me know soon, and I will sign you up. If I get a lot of respondents we'll add a second group. Likewise for the Berkeley group, let me know and I'll sign you up for that one. I expect the groups will have their first dinner within a couple weeks. Let's make this work! I'll be posting a more detailed document containing specific details and guidelines, soon, but don't wait for that to appear to sign up! By the way, I've also gotten involved in transportation advocacy, in particular Personal Rapid Transit. See: http://www.electric-bikes.com/prt.htm -- Any of you is intrigued let me know; I am going to start a grassroots activist group to try to get this wonderful new technology into the bay Area. Thanks, DG ps: if you reply and MSN bounces your message back with some remark about my inbox being full, wait a few hours and resend it. I did some inbox cleaning today and hopefully it should solve the problem. Longer term I am going to switch email providers.
