THANKSGIVING TIPS & TALK and POTLUCK

Tips & Talk begins at 5:30 p.m.

Socializing at 6:30 pm, Dining at 7:00 p.m.

Location: Fort Mason, Bldg C, Room 362, San Francisco (Wheel Chair accessible)

Auto entrance on Laguna & Buchanan Streets.

Public Transit: MUNI Bus #22, 28, 30, 47, 82X

BART exit at Civic Center and walk to Van Ness for bus connections north.

Suggested donation to help defray rental expenses: $1 for members & students

bringing food (enough for 8 to 10 people); $3 for non-members bringing food. Add

$7 for everyone not bringing food.* The door donation (not the food donation)

will be waived for volunteers who arrive an hour before the meeting to help set

up or stay after to clear up. Call 415- 861-5244 to volunteer

The Compassionate Thanksgiving Tips & Talk will be presented by Patti Breitman,

well known vegan advocate presently with Marin EarthSave. A Great UnTurkey will

be donated by Now & Zen, Inc. Everyone is encouraged to bring Thanksgiving

dishes with recipes to swap. A prize for the best recipe will be given.

*Free Admission & Dinner for World Vegetarian Day volunteers, entertainers, and

presenters in appreciation for their great efforts and contributions in making

it a successful event. Since this is a Thank You Dinner, please RSVP in order

for us to have enough food for everyone, 415-273-5481. Volunteers should also

let us know regrets. We want to make sure everyone knows about the event.

THANKSGIVING POTLUCK BRUNCH

Socializing at 1:00 p.m. Dining at 1:30 p.m.

Cost: $1 suggested donation with food; $10 without food

Attire: Dressy

Enjoy a vegetarian Potluck Brunch at the lovely home of Elizabeth Bechtold and

David Schneider, 633 Glenwood Isle, Alameda. RSVP with Pam & Roy, 510-653-7966

Directions: From 880, take High Street Alameda Exit. , At stoplight, turn right

onto High Street and proceed over the bridge for about 1.5 miles. Turn right

onto Otis Drive and right onto Glenwood Isle. From BART at Fruitvale Avenue

Station, take Bus #50 to White Hall & Willow, then walk two blocks to Otis and

one block to Glenwood.

Call Elizabeth for last minute directions and for food suggestions,

510-864-1111. Also call her to help with decorations and to set up or clean up.

No door fee for those who help out. After the potluck, there will be dancing

(bring soft shoes or no-marking shoes) and boating on the canal , weather

permitting. Members, friends, and children very welcome.

THANKSGIVING DAY FEAST

Appetizers at 11:30 a.m. Dinner at 12:00 noon

Directions: 101 to Van Ness, East on McAllister (easy parking at Civic Center);

BART to Civic Center Exit and walk north to McAllister; or MUNI to Van

Ness/Market and transfer to #47 or 49 north to McAllister and walk east 2

blocks.

A delicious 5 course vegan feast is being planned by Chef Tucker. Those who have

attended in past years know this will be a heart healthy gourmet feast. No

leftover turkey bones here! Check our website in mid-November for the exact menu
