We are pleased to share information with you about two Thanksgiving Events at Sparks, a wonderful little restaurant tucked away in Guerneville (information is below) Check out vegdining.com for some reviews of Sparks: http://www.vegdining.com/GetRest.cfm?rk=US-CA-GUER-SPARK They're yummy in our books! Sparks is kindly offering a 10% discount for these events to SFBAVeg members. Simply tell them you're a member of SFBAVeg to claim the discount. Please contact Sparks Restaurant directly (not SFBAVeg) for any questions or reservations for these 2 events. We invite you to celebrate Thanksgiving with a meal that even turkeys can be thankful for. Sparks is now accepting reservations for our organic, vegetarian Thanksgiving feasts. That's not a typo. This year we are offering two special Thanksgiving dinners, one on Thanksgiving day, and one the night before. SPARKS TOFURKY EVE The night BEFORE Thanksgiving, November 27, we will be open for a casual, fun, Tofurky Eve! Last year, Erin wouldn't let us serve Tofurky at Sparks. So this year we've compromised -- and even if she won't admit it, I know she's craving it too (Tofurky is a scrumptious vegan Thanksgiving main course). We will have one seating only for this Thanksgiving Eve dinner at 7:00 pm. Reservations are a must given our small seating area. The price is $25, which includes three courses of delicious Thanksgiving food, with Tofurky as the main course and Erin's famous chocolate pecan or pumpkin pie for dessert. To reserve your place, e-mail us at info or call us at (707) 869-8206. Tofurky Menu: Potato leek chowder with thyme cream Spinach salad with roasted butternut squash, apples, sunflower seeds and maple-mustard dressing Tofurky with garlic mashed potatoes, stuffing, mushroom gravy, broccoli and cranberry sauce Pumpkin pie with pomegranate sauce and chocolate pecan pie with cranberry coulis SPARKS THANKSGIVING DAY Thanksgiving Day Sparks goes all out to make dinner an elegant, gourmet special treat -- just like last year. Dinner will include six incredible organic, vegetarian courses all prepared from scratch right here in Sparks' little kitchen. Amuse: Yukon gold potato and thyme chips with lentil-vegetable pate Appeitzer: Autumn Antipasto of baslamic glazed beets, sweet roasted garlic, kalamata olives, tofu feta, watercress & crostini Soup: Smokey chestnut and sweet potato bisque with shallot cream swirl Entree: Sweet dumpling squashes stuffed with pecan cornbread stuffing and smothered in mushroom gravy. Served with roasted potatoes, vegetables and fresh cranberry/orange/ginger sauce Dessert: Chocolate pecan pie with cranberry sauce and cinnamon soy ice cream OR Pumpkin pie with pomegranate sauce and crystallized ginger Final Bite: Mini orange blossom macaroons This year, we will have four seatings: 12:00pm (noon), 2:30pm, 5:00pm, and 7:30pm Reservations for this very special event are absolutely essential given our small dining room. (Last year we sold out fairly early.) The price is $45.00 for six gourment organic courses and welcoming beverage of cider or wine (does not include gratuity). Call (707) 869-8206 or e-mail info to reserve a table. The larger your group, the sooner you need to call us so we can assure you of the space you want.
