Guest guest
Magazine: November/December issue of Adbusters magazine ( " Appetite " ) No. 44 I don't to the magazine Adbusters, but I randomly picked up the November/December issue and was astounded at its contents. The issue is called " Appetite " and it delivers a powerful message about junk/fast food, nutrition, animal rights, food as an environmental issue, marketing, and so much more. I am *thrilled* to see a mainstream (?) magazine featuring this topic so prominantly. There are no ads in this magazine - it's a " Big Fat Double Issue " devoted to the above topics. Every page is a photograph that takes my breath away. There are images in this magazine that made me bust out crying on BART. It's incredibly moving (but nothing a quick surf through PETA.org won't induce as well). I'm writing to the editor in thanks and appreciation. ~Caity
Guest guest
I love that magazine but they are hardly mainstream; more like a thorn in the side of, the mainstream media. Check their editorial statement. And for some historical perspective on their work, check their legendary (infamous) Absolut ad series. Awesome and funny and sharp. They can be a bit strident and naive, but their hearts are definitely in the right place.
