Instead, some of you are making me feel like a common criminal for suggesting an age group (not all responses to me were posted on the list). I got as many negative vibes as I did positive ones. WHY? Isn't this supposed to be a friendly place? Everyone is welcome to start their own group with an emphasis on whatever age they so wish. It's called a democracy. I think cooking classes is a great idea, I'd love to join. I think the reference to that idea being superior to this one because there is no age suggested is not so friendly. If I misunderstood I am sorry - I am just feeling under attack here. I think the two ideas are entirely independent and uncorrelated. As I said before - I was aiming for the center of the bell curve, but NO ONE who replied and wished to be added was turned down or excluded from the list. Finally, on a positive note - THANKS to all those who replied positively! And to those want to help double thanks - you'll hear from either me or Mat :-) (2) The female/male ratio - the idea behind disclosing this fact was not for males to quit (what more, that maybe one of those few females may me the ONE? ;-) The idea was to get all of you, males and females, to call your veg*n female friends, and ask them if they'd like to join. If even some of you bring 1 or 2 female friends, the difference in ratio will be easily felt. Bear with me here please - this is why I said in the first email that it will probably take 3-4 weeks to put the first event together. A beautiful day to all of you....
