Guest guest
I'm at the UC Berkeley Campus today, Saw a VEGAN student name Jeff who is on the 2nd day of his 9 day fast to bring awareness of animal rights. He has 2 HUGE posters showing photos how PIGS and CHICKENs are killed for meat. The color photos show the beginning to the end process of killing the animals. Lots of gross photos. If you want to meet him, he'll be at the courtyard everyday during his fast,,,, when he's not at class during the day. (he won't be there on weekends and rainy days) --- There's a vegetarian refrigerator on a campus snack shop. I have a photo to prove it.. the fridge is labeled, yes, " vegetarian " --- Vannessa the new restaurant on University and Shattuck, will be offering veggie " ham " and " chicken " sandwiches for $2 each. She will have a special buy one get one free. That means the sandwich will cost ONLY $1. The restaurant will definately loose money, but she felt it's important that people know the restaurant is there. (does anyone have any connection to give free publicity - so studends at UC Berkeley will know about this?) she said it costs $600 to run an one time ad in the school newspaper (wow) I will confirm when the sandwiches are for sale. It's not for sale yet. The restaurant has 98 veg items and she added 48 meat items to the menu. The restaurant will also negotiate with Black China Bakery to start having VEGAN cakes available to customers. It's a great time to order the cakes for the holidays. When ordering, most likely, the cake must be paid in full so no other customers will take it from you! more info next week www.vegdining.com if you have a sure way to help Vanessa to generate profits, please send her a letter. If adding meat to the menu doesn't help, she doesn't know she can pay her expenses.
