Dear Veg Community, We have had a few cancellations and/or folks who have not confirmed their reservations, so I'm happy to re-post the following info regarding the Bay Area Veg Fair Kick-off dinner this Saturday in Cupertino! There are only four seats remaining, and you must send in a check in advance, so if you are thinking of attending the dinner please RSVP ASAP! Here is the info: The much-anticipated Bay Area Veg Fair II will take place on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003. Once again this stellar event will be held in the heart of Silicon Valley at the Santa Clara Convention Center. We look forward to seeing you there! As we did last year, the Veg Fair planning committee will be organizing a series of dinners which will assist us in keeping the event FREE to the public. We will kick off Bay Area Veg Fair II with a spectacular supper at Kokila's Kitchen in Cupertino on Saturday, November 23. Last year's dinner was a huge success and sold out. We expect seats to once again go quickly, and space is limited, so please reserve your spot today. All proceeds go towards Bay Area Veg Fair 2003. The all-you-can-eat Vegan menu includes: Samosas with mint and tamarind chutneys Papadum Fresh Roti Layered Paratha (a wonderful grilled bread) Dahl (a light lentil soup) Channa Masala (chickpeas in a masala sauce) Aloo Gobi (cauliflower, potatoes, peas and tomatoes) Sauteed Okra Gujarati Green Beans Dokla (steamed lentil cakes, Kokila's specialty) Biriyani Rice (a rice blended with spices and vegetables) Basmati Rice (plain) plus ... Soy Chai Tea (a rare experience in Indian restaurants) Besin Barfi (made without dairy, especially for us!) The dinner is just $18 and includes tax, tip, good fun and this incredible menu.
