Guest guest
" Thank you for another wonderful class! Everything was fantastic! " " Excellent! The food was great. This class was really fun. Thank you! " The 20-30 people who attend our monthly vegetarian cooking classes know how much fun we have, how delicious the food is, and how we debunk myths regarding plant-based eating. Now the rest of Oakland knows, too! The November 20th edition of the Oakland Tribune (this Wednesday!) is featuring a story on the joys of having a Turkey-Free Thanksgiving and highlighted our cooking classes to help offer recipes, tips, and suggestions. Check out the article in the Lifestyle section of the Tribune on Wednesday. Also, contact me if you would liked the recipes from November's " Thanksgiving for the Birds " class. Now that the holidays are upon us, we will be busy visiting family and friends, attending parties, and entertaining. Join us for our December cooking class as we feature Delightful Dishes for Holiday Entertaining, including a.. Crostini Topped with Savory Spreads b.. Moroccan Phyllo Crescents with Curried Golden Tomato Sauce c.. Carrot and Parsnip Soups with Tarragon-Cashew Sour Cream d.. Once you let me know that you would like to attend, simply write a check, make it out to Colleen A. Patrick, and put 'cooking class' in the memo field. Mail it to Colleen A. Patrick 230 Santa Rosa Ave. #3 Oakland, CA 94610. PLEASE NOTE: Because of the logistics involved, you are considered a TENTATIVE sign-up until I receive your check. When I receive it, I will send you a confirmation via email. Also, please try to sign up sooner rather than later. Last-minute sign-ups (though sometimes inevitable) are discouraged. As usual, we'd like to share some comments from our class participants. Here is some more feedback from November's class: " Thank you for a fun class. I enjoyed the gravy very much! Thanks for all your help making it easier for our family to reduce the use of animal foods! " " My sister made the Carrot Ginger Soup and the Cornbread from the last class and loved both (so did her boyfriend, who's extremely hard to impress! Great job! " " I think you have a future as TV's first vegan chef! You should get in touch with KQED! " " It was a great class! I especially loved the acorn squash and the pumpkin pie. Kristin raved about the last class, so I had to check it out. We'll be back! " " " Good class! No comments except keep doing them! " See you in December!
