Hi Nora,

 

I listened to the whole Gene Burns show on KGO last evening. You and Diane

sounded very professional, had all your facts at hand and delivered them

smoothly and without hesitation. You handled the caller with poise. It was

evident that he wasn't ready to listen to anything but his own voice but at

least he was civil. You took him on on his terms and agreed that veg*n is

indeed a political and social issue for all the reasons you stated and put a

positive direction on veg*n compared to the negative slant he tried to

attach to political and social movements.

 

It was good that you had the opportunity several times to talk about the

animals and about the video you show on the streets of S.F. and to expand on

its effect on viewers.

 

Of course, the food was a terrific accompanyment, especially with Gene

Burns, who didn't ask the endlessly stupid question " But what do veg*n eat? "

He acknowledged that veg*n food can be terrific, witness his patronage and

continuous praise of Millennium, and that veg*ns know how to make the best

of herbs and spices as well as taking advantage of all the wonderful plant

foods that are available.
