Guest guest
PeTA is taking nominations for their $1000 Cesar Chavez award. Alfredo Kuba is our bi-lingual whiz-of-activity in the SF Bay area and, I think, he is very deserving of the award (and he could use the prize money for his Cow Palace appeal!) PLEASE GO TO THE PeTA CESAR CHAVEZ PAGE AND NOMINATE ALREDO KUBA Some facts about Alfredo - add your own: Alfredo became a full time animal rights advocate and vegan in 1995. Since then he has participated and organized protests against circuses, rodeos, animal research, hunting, meat, horse carriages and just about any form of animal exploitation in the bay area and San Jose. He is challenging VERY restrictive protesting at the SF Cow Palace. He also lectures in high schools on veganism In 1999 he became the coordinator of South Bay In Defense of Animals. Alfredo's car is a rolling billboard for animals! He modified it with custom billboards on the roof with three signs that advocate veganism and other animal issues and he even has a leaflet dispenser on the side window so that people can take literature when he is parked. He's passing out information even when he's not there! Alfredo has also designed a street video setup on a large tripod and he shows PeTA's video, Meet Your Meat, every Friday night in downtown Mountain View where he distributes PeTA's Veg Starter Kits and Why Vegan booklets. Thank you for nominating Alfredo - Polly Strand Alfredo Kuba 500 W.
