Guest guest
Hi, Re chocolate for cats, I would not give it to them. They seem to be less sensitive then dogs, but you never know - why risk it? http://www.lovingchocolate.com/html/pets.html Re seaweed - that's probably related to their natural craving for grass, and nothing wrong with that :-) As for why cats crave grass, that's a whole other question, and I've seen and read everything from " helping clear their stomachs from hairballs " , " for digestion " , " fibre craving " , " vitamine deficiency " etc. The truth is no one seems to know (but everyone has an opinion, as usual ;-). Btw, when a cat goes for your houseplants, it's because they have no grass around. A $2 grass pot from the local pet store ($1 at the farmers market) will solve the problem :-) Whatever the root for the craving is, they seem to really love it, and it's never been shown to cause them any harm, so feel safe sharing your sushi :-) (btw, it could also be that it's the ocean like smell that they love. Smell and taste in cats are very mixed. They actually smell partly with glands at the roof of their mouths, this is why you'll see them with their mouth hanging open after intense sniffing :-) Re EaglePack: the problem is most stores carry only their dog products, for some odd reason, and rarely ever (in fact, I NEVER saw it here) carry their hollistic (natural preservatives wise) line. All of you who are interested - if you found a store that does in SF, please let me know. If not, maybe if there are enough of us stores will be willing to special order it for us, so if you can't find it but would like to use it - please write to me. Tal PS: Wysong was one of the brands I tried. It scored much lower with my cats than Wellness did (left almost untouched). But then again, I am sure not all cats would agree :-)
