Guest guest
I was planning to visit Whole Foods for the first time this week. However, after reading the latest postings, I've decided to start a self-boycott. I will not step into a Whole Foods store until I hear its workers are unionized. Anyone else considering to boycott? Boycotting is the only " right " left to a consumer! Juan A. Romero
Guest guest
To keep this discussion regarding Whole Foods " on topic " around veggie/AR stuff -- you can learn more about Whole Foods from VIVA & PETA's websites: 1) Whole Foods continued support/commercial relationship with Grimaud Farms. These people factory farm ducks -- chop off their bills, and the ducks have no access to immerse themselves in water. You can see pictures for yourself http://www.vivausa.org/PhotoGallery/duckpicsgallery.htm and read about VIVA's campaign http://www.vivausa.org/Campaigns/Ducks/wholefoodsclaims.htm 2) PETA's website http://www.wholefoodshurtsanimals.com/ " By far, the best thing that anyone can do for animals is to adopt a vegan diet, and Whole Foods stores do offer an array of vegetarian, vegan, and cruelty-free products, so we applaud that. But they also leave small animals to die horribly in traps by starving or dehydrating to death, and they deceive their customers regarding farmed animal welfare. The fact is that Whole Foods stores should not just make humane eating easier, they should raise the bar on humane treatment, but they don't.
