Haroun and the Sea of Stories

When Khattam-Shud, the cult master of silence from the dark side of the moon,

launches his plan to destroy the world’s stories, it is up to young Haroun to

stop the destruction. Haroun and the Sea of Stories is the tale of a boy’s

adventure into strange new lands – a dream world of water genies and mechanical

birds, where chatter and silence battle for control. Based on Salman Rushdie’s

fable of the same name, Haroun and the Sea of Stories is a tale sure to enchant

young and old.

December EBVEG Events

 

Two events in December: First Saturday and also an Xmas day brunch.

 

First: Saturday Dec. 7th at 6:30 pm, at the NEW Udipi Palace all-veg Indian

Restaurant at 1901 University Avenue in Berkeley. [Near MLK]

 

I have eaten there twice and both times the food seemed better than my trips to

the Sunnyvale and Newark members of the franchise. They have several daily

specials and many items on the menu are vegan. Pls RSVP so I can arrange for

more vegan items, especially in the Daily Specials.

 

This location is walkable from the central Berkeley BART station.

 

There is only seating for about 20 in the group area, so please RSVP early.

 

 

Second: We will meeting at 11 am for a long, tasty Xmas Brunch at the Organic

Cafe / Macrobiotic Center at 1050 40th Street at the Oakland / Emeryville

border. Its all Vegan, all Organic and the Xmas meal is usually one of the

best they prepare for the year. [This is fixed cost, unlimited meal and by

coming at 11 am we will catch the end of the breakfast buffet and then get the

switch over to the lunch buffet. $10.75 plus tax ]
