Michael Newman of the Center for a New American Dream will present the 30-minute film, " More Fun, Less Stuff: The Challenges and Rewards of a New American Dream. " The video is an entertaining, informative look at the hidden costs of the " more is better " definition of the American dream. It profiles individuals, companies, and organizations that are changing the way they consume to improve the quality of life, protect the environment, and promote social justice. Discussion will follow the video. The dinner begins at 6:30 PM at Foundation for a Global Community, 222 High Street, Palo Alto. Advance registrations are required for dinner.
