SFV-fgrp EVENT, Saturday, 12/21 at 11:30 am. == Nemesis

We now announce the formation of the SFV-fg, Sci Fi Veggie film group.

 

This came out of the movie choices voiced at the conclusion of the EB Veggie

Thanksgiving Potluck. Some of those folks went out to see Solaris afterward

and talked about seeing recent Star Trek film.

 

So here it is -- Saturday, 12/21 at the UA Berkeley -- at 11:30 am.

 

Lunch and discussion will follow at a Berkeley veggie restaurant, such as

Vanessa's, or Udipi Palace..

 

Please RSVP so we know how many seats to grab..... also let me know if you'd

prefer going to the UA Emeryville instead -- better parking but much less

interesting food choices. [majority rules]

 

Star Trek: Nemesis (PG-13, 116 min.) - with previews and [ugh] commercials,

we should be out of the theatre looking for lunch around 1:40-45 pm.

 

There is a city-owned 4 story parking garage on Center [or Addison] near

shattack avenue, where the first hour is free. Also, meters are ignored

Saturdays in December in Berkeley's shopping areas.

 

I'd also encourage folks to drive to BART and get off in downtown Berkeley.

PArk at Ashby or North Berkeley and pay just $1.10 each way -- a cheap

parking fee.
