Guest guest
** please distribute ** Volunteers Urgently Needed for In Defense of Animals' Wildlife Protection Project! Spend your Saturday morning saving animals by creating a wildlife " sanctuary " in San Francisco! In Defense of Animals volunteers and the SF Recreation & Parks Department have joined forces to minimize the use of cruel traps on local wildlife by renovating the landscape along the Great Highway where it meets Wawona St. on the first Saturday of every month, from 9 a.m. to noon. Why should YOU be there this Saturday? - it's outdoors and great exercise! - meet awesome people who care about animals as much as you do! - enjoy free vegan treats: yummy muffins, bagels and juice await you! - bring beautiful native plants back into the ecosystem! - save animals from a cruel death! I hope you can make it -- feel free to bring anyone you think might be interested along with you! Please give me a call to confirm that you can make it (you don't have to, but it'll help me get an idea of what to expect). I can be reached at 415-388-9641 x19, or by email at carla. Please note that this event will be cancelled in the event of rain. Hope to see you there! Carla Brauer Program Coordinator In Defense of Animals 131 Camino Alto, Suite E Mill Valley, CA 94941 Tel. 415-388-9641 x19 --- It is the policy of In Defense of Animals to no longer use language that accepts the current concept of animals as property, commodities and/or things. Rather than refer to ourselves or others as " owners " of animals we share our lives with, we now refer to ourselves and others as " guardians " of our animal friends and to animals as " he " or " she " rather than " it. " Guardians do not buy or sell animals; instead they rescue and adopt. We urge you to do the same.
