Hey everyone,

As many of you may already know, superstar

activist Carla Brauer recently formed a local

grassroots organization called Freedom for

Animals. We're hoping this new group will help

to energize activists and potential activists to

make positive steps to help improve the lives of

animals. There's already a separate ! group

(go to

FreedomforAnimals

to read about the group and see how to post and

to the list). We'd like to have a

meeting to get to know people and to talk about

upcoming events we'd like to plan, including

regualar " Vegan Video Brigades, " feed-ins,

potlucks, fundraisers, and other events.

We're planning the first meeting for next

Saturday, January 4th, and we hope as many

interested people as possible will be able to

attend! We'd like to have a potluck first to get

to know one another and discuss our interests,

talents, concerns, goals for helping animals,

etc., in order to brainstorm and plan events for

the future.

So, again, the meeting will be:

WHEN? Saturday, January 4 from 4:00-6:00 or so

WHERE? 1042 Haight St. (between Baker and

Broderick, 2 blocks west of Divisadero) Apt. 3,

SF

(It is easily reachable by the Haight St. buses

(the 6, 7, and 71) and only a few blocks from

the Fillmore bus (the 22) and the Masonic bus

(the 43). Also only a 15-minute or so walk from

the N and J stops at Duboce/Church and Market.)

WHY? To plan upcoming events to help animals,

and to meet other activists

If you can bring some food or drinks to share

with the rest of us, that's wonderful, but don't

not come because you don't get a chance to cook

something up.

Please let me know if you plan to attend, or if

you will be unable to attend but would like to

be involved with future activism.

Looking forward to seeing many of you on

saturday!

Nora
