Guest guest
Hi all, I sent a message a few days ago about SFBAVeg having a booth at Veg Fair, and sponsoring an activity like letter-writing. I received a few responses, all very positive, encouraging ones.... But I think it wasn't very clear what I was looking for. (URL for previous message: SFBAVeg/message/3325) Specifically, I am looking for your support and feedback for this idea. 1) Do you like the idea that SFBAVeg has a presence at VegFair? 2) Do you like the idea of the letter-writing activity? Or do you have other ideas for a table there? 3) Are you willing to volunteer to help staff the table for a few hours? 4) Can you help pay for the cost of being there? Booth rental costs $150 (this goes to Veg Fair) and there will be other related costs for postage, paper, etc for a letter-writing activity. To raise $200, we'd need 100 people to donate $2, or 40 people to donate $5, etc. (Remember, membership to SFBAVeg is free, so the group has no money.) Read more about VegFair here: http://www.vegfair.org SFBAVeg is everyone's group. To make this happen, I need YOUR help! Thanks~ Cheers, Tammy Tammy: I suggest a fund raiser for my 2 carrots worth. As a member of the board of directors of the Oakland Humanist Fellowship Hall I suggest we hold a potluck for pay there and split a reasonable amount with them. It is also the cook house for Food Not Bombs at least once a week and can accommodate a couple hundred people. -Donald P.
