Guest guest
I have been thinking about this situation in Oakland (about which I only know what Cat posted yesterday) and a couple of things have occurred to me. 1.) If the people who are keeping the puppy in such deplorable conditions only want him for breeding (i.e., they only have an economic interest in him) , might they want to sell him if they won't just give him up? 2.) If they are persuaded to give up or sell him, won't they just go get another puppy for the same breeding purposes? 3.) Why do they want to breed a Brindle pit bull? Are they selling the puppies for fights? 4.) PETA puts out an educational pamphlet on how cruel it is to keep a dog perpetually tied up alone like that and why (i.e., that dogs are pack animals,etc.). Maybe even if they will be willing to give up this particular dog, it would be a good idea to give them this pamphlet. (But maybe not. Maybe they will be very annoyed at what they perceive as " meddling " .) Stephanie
