Hi all,

I am still wide awake after eating some very yummy desserts at the Vegan

Food Party earlier tonite so thought I'd drop y'all a note about upcoming

events....

In March we are pleased to host a presentation by Dr. Michael Greger in

Pacifica. He'll be speaking on Mad Cow Disease. We're very excited to

present this event in Pacifica.

We are planning some camping trips for the summer, and have reservations

made for the very first one: Yosemite National Park on Memorial Day

weekend!! (Yes, we do have confirmed reservations.... if you've ever tried

to book Yosemite on a weekend, and a holiday weekend at that, then you know

how quickly they go!) This will be a 3-day, 2 nite trip. Due to expected

high demand for this trip and very limited space, priority reservations will

be offered first to SFBAVeg event hosts & supporters and then opened to

general SFBAVeg members. Please contact me if you're interested and I'll

maintain an interest list for now.

We know Yosemite is a trek, so we're also considering some other local

camping trips -- visiting Butano again (maybe in September), maybe getting a

big group site on one of the State Beaches (like Half Moon Bay)... would

also like to do more outdoor VFPs during the summer. Tilden Park was

wonderful last year.

If you're looking for a VFP or SFBAVeg event in your neighborhood, think

about organizing one! We need VFP hosts starting with March. What type of

events and how often we have them depend on all of us. SFBAVeg Event

Cheers,

Tammy
